Haggadot
A few Jewish publishers have generously made their Haggadot available as a download this year since many of us may not be the ones in our families to keep the books!
These may be downloaded and used on a tablet, or printed. If you are doing a virtual seder with other homes, these should also make it easier to ensure everyone is on the same “page.” Here are four Rabbi Jenni Greenspan recommends for different families:
For a simple Family Haggadah, especially for gatherings with smaller children, use the Haggadah from PJ Library.
“A Different Night” is a great Haggadah for gatherings with a wide range of ages, as it has readings, poems, and questions to discuss for all ages. Haggadahs-R-Us has made this favorite downloadable, and has even included a “Seder Planner” chart that can guide your family to focus on some of the best highlights for your family depending on how many and what age groups are participating.
“A Different Night” are the first two links on this page, and the Planner is the third.
“A Feast of Freedom” was written by the Rabbinical Assembly (Conservative) in the 1980s. It has some great paper art to look at and interpret, and a wide range of commentaries with information about the classic haggadah text. This one is great for teens and adults who’d like some more intellectual in-depth description of the older text.
“A Night of Questions” is the Reconstructionist movement Haggadah with the liturgy appropriate for families who identify with the Reconstructionist movement, or who want to explore it!
This text should be available before Passover. Check back!
